About this project
MnDOT will reconstruct and improve motorist and pedestrian safety on Hwy 71/Main St. S in Sauk Centre, Stearns County.
- Reconstruct Hwy 71 from Co. Rd. 186/S. Limit St. to
Pine St. N - Resurface Hwy 71 from I-94 to Co. Rd. 186/S. Limit St.
- Replace city underground utilities (water and sanitary sewer) and lighting
- Install new curb and gutter and storm sewer
- Improve the intersections at Main St. N and Sinclair
Lewis Ave. - Construct a multi-use trail along Hwy 71, replace existing pedestrian sidewalk and extend to Co. Rd. 186
- Improve pedestrian crossings along Hwy 71, includes access across the Sauk River bridge

- Project requires road and sidewalk closures with detours
