Involvement opportunities

• Washington Street Prep & Plan 1.0 - Hosted by the Brainerd Lakes Chamber of Commerce. Reconstruction on Hwy 210 begins this spring and is scheduled to wrap up in 2027. We know this will be challenging for many businesses located on and off the main route. Be prepared and receive the support and information you need to manage the disruption and help us brainstorm ideas for marketing. Two identical sessions (RSVP):
  • MORNING: Tue, Jan. 27 from 7:30-9:30 am at the Brainerd Lakes Chamber of Commerce
    
  • AFTERNOON: Wed, Jan. 28 from 3-5 pm, at the Brainerd Lakes Chamber of Commerce

Brainerd is open for business

Accesses to businesses will be open and maintained during this Brainerd roadwork project. However, plan for and expect some access changes to your business.

• Gravel surfaces
• Use of side or back entrances
• Use of alternate streets when a hard closure is necessary
• Temporary sidewalk or pedestrian detours

MnDOT will have a business/contractor contact available to businesses and residents along the project once construction begins in 2026. Sign up for project email updates
