Lane closures, shoulder closures for signal installation on Highway 10 in Dilworth starts today

DETROIT LAKES, Minn.—Beginning today, Monday, Oct. 27, the Minnesota Department of Transportation will install an interim traffic signal on Highway 10 in Dilworth at the frontage road, east of 34th Street.

The signal is needed to control traffic as new developments near the intersection are expected to increase traffic volumes on the frontage road. A permanent signal at the intersection is currently planned as part of the future project to reconstruct Highway 10 in Dilworth in 2031 and 2032.

Motorists can expect shoulder and lane closures starting next week. While the installation is expected to be complete by Friday, Oct. 31, weather permitting, the traffic signal will be turned on and operational at a later date.

All work and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, and reminds them to slow down in every work zone, watch for workers and never enter an area blocked with barriers or cones.
