Bridge repairs complete: Highway 169 reopens through Princeton
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation announces that all lanes, bridges and access ramps are now open on each direction of Highway 169 between Baxter Road and 313th Avenue in Princeton.
The six-month, $7.3 million project repaired and replaced the concrete wearing surface on eight bridges—four each way—over North Rum River Drive (Mille Lacs County Road 29), the West Branch Rum River, First Street (Sherburne County Road 31) and South Rum River Drive (Sherburne County Road 29).
These upgrades provide a smoother driving experience, reduce long-term maintenance costs, extend the lifespan of the bridges and improve stormwater drainage.
Minor lane or shoulder closures may continue into early November as crews complete final tasks.
MnDOT appreciates drivers’ patience during the 24/7 one-lane work zone on Highway 169 throughout the construction season.
