Highway 5 in Eden Prairie closed for roadwork Aug. 1-4
Roseville,  Minn. – Both directions of Highway 5  will be closed between Eden Prairie Road and Mitchell Road in Eden Prairie from  10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1 to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, according to the Minnesota  Department of Transportation. Traffic will be detoured using Highway 41 and  Highway 212.
      
Crews  have also reduced both eastbound and westbound Highway 212 and Highway 5 to one  lane between Interstate 494 and Eden Prairie Road in Eden Prairie through  September to repair concrete pavement, as part of an improvement project.  Motorists should expect delays.
      
All  traffic impacts are tentative and weather dependent.

MnDOT  urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution and slow down in  work zones where workers are present.
      
Throughout  the project, crews will be repairing concrete, paving the shoulders, and  updating existing guardrail on Highway 212 and Highway 5 between Eden Prairie  Road and I-494 in Eden Prairie. The project will be completed in September  2025.
