Reminder: I-394 E-ZPass lanes in Minneapolis, Golden Valley to close July 27
ROSEVILLE,  Minn. –Motorists traveling on Interstate 394  in west Twin Cities metro area will encounter E-ZPass lane closures in both  directions between downtown Minneapolis and Highway 100 in Golden Valley by 6  p.m. Sunday, July 27, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. 
          
The  E-ZPass lanes will be closed through November 2025 while crews complete a  two-year project to repair the bridges and ramps along I-394 and I-94. The  E-ZPass lanes will reopen in November 2025 through February 2026.
          In  addition, motorists may encounter intermittent overnight lane closures on  eastbound and westbound I-394 in the project area as crews repair the bridges. 
          All  construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule  permitting, and subject to change. 
      
MnDOT  urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slow down in  work zones where workers are present. 
      
MnDOT  crews are repairing 34 bridges and ramps along I-394 and I-94 between downtown  Minneapolis and Highway 100 beginning July 2025. This work includes repairing  the Dunwoody Boulevard ramp, replacing the Penn Avenue bridge deck over I-394,  and making other needed improvements along I-394 between downtown Minneapolis  and Highway 100.
