Hwy 210 and Co. Rd. 35 intersection in Underwood to become all-way stop
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. —On Tuesday, May 27, crews will install an all-way stop at the intersection of Hwy 210 and Otter Tail Co. Rd. 35 in Underwood, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
To increase safety at the intersection, MnDOT is changing the traffic control from a two-way stop to a four-way stop. Signs and pavement markings will be installed on Hwy 210 to accommodate the change; stop signs already exist at the Co. Rd.35 portion of the intersection. Stops and stop ahead signs will be illuminated with LED blinking lights. Tube delineators will also be installed and will serve as an interim change until MnDOT returns later this year to construct raised concrete medians on Hwy 210 and additional pavement markings.
Message boards and signs will be placed in advance to the intersection on Hwy 210 to warn drivers of this change. Drivers should use caution when driving through the intersection while the changeover process is happening.
