Annual bridge maintenance and inspections begin in East Grand Forks on May 28

Bemidji, Minn. – According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, crews will begin annual maintenance and inspections on the Sorlie and Kennedy bridges on Highway 2 in East Grand Forks beginning May 28. Motorists can expect short term delays and lane closures, with head-to-head traffic.

May 28: Kennedy Bridge maintenance work
June 2: Sorlie Bridge annual inspection
June 3-4: Kennedy Bridge annual inspection

Motorists can expect short term delays during this work from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is a twelve-foot width limit in effect.
