MnDOT seeking public input on Highway 76 resurfacing project from Houston to Caledonia

HOUSTON, Minn. – The public is invited to share their experiences using Highway 76 from Houston to Caledonia to help the project team develop the project, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

People can go to the project website and share their experience on the road through an interactive map. This is also where people can sign up to receive project email updates.

MnDOT is planning to resurface Highway 76 from Highway 44 to Highway 16 near Houston in 2028. Other anticipated work includes replacing culverts and guardrail and making minor bridge improvements. The project will provide a smoother road surface and extend the pavement life. It will also improve safety and drainage infrastructure.

An open house is planned for this fall to share more details about the project.

MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all. If you need an ASL, foreign language interpreter, or other reasonable accommodation, or need documents in an alternative format (such as braille or large print), please email your request to Janet Miller at ADArequest.dot@state.mn.us or call 651-366-4720 or 1-800-657-3774 (Greater Minnesota); 711 or 1-800-627-3529 (Minnesota Relay).
