MnDOT to host June 17 public meeting for the I-394 and I-94 construction project
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will host a June 17 public meeting to share an overview of the Interstate 394 and I-94 project work.
The meeting is 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at Anwatin Middle School. There will be no formal presentation. People are invited to stop by at their convenience throughout the meeting. The project team will be available to offer information and answer questions about the project.
Construction crews are repairing bridges and ramps along I-394 and I-94 between downtown Minneapolis and Highway 100 over the next two construction seasons. The work will also include realigning the I-394 to Dunwoody Blvd. ramp, replacing the deck for the Penn Ave. bridge that crosses over I-394, and other improvements along the two interstates.
This summer, crews will start their work by closing the E-ZPass lanes to repair bridges on this section of I-394. In spring 2026, crews will begin major construction on I-394 and I-94, with crews shifting traffic and reducing travel lanes for motorists. Motorists should expect delays during construction. This much needed construction will extend the longevity of the bridges, upgrade safety and accessibility features, and provide a smoother bridge surface.
