MnDOT to host public meeting for Hwy 169 corridor study through Hibbing

DULUTH, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation is hosting a public meeting on Monday, Dec. 11, at 5 p.m. in the Memorial Building, 400 E. 23rd St., Hibbing, to discuss the Hwy 169 corridor study through Hibbing. This study is looking at the Hwy 169 section from Hwy 37 to 13th Street East in the Hibbing city limits.

MnDOT hosted a public meeting in September, gathered public feedback via a survey and outreach and analyzed traffic data through the corridor. This public meeting will include proposed alternatives along the corridor. Project staff will give a brief overview of the alternatives and give the public time to study the alternatives and provide comments.

There is currently no project planned for this corridor. This is a study to gather information on how the corridor works and possible alternatives.
For those unable to attend in person, a recorded presentation and the alternatives will be posted to the project website at mndot.gov/d1/projects/hwy169-hibbing/.
