Hwy 25 in Buffalo reopens to all travelers on Nov. 3

ST. CLOUD, Minn. —Highway 25 (South Lake Boulevard) in south Buffalo, Wright County, will open to all travelers on Friday, Nov. 3, reports the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The highway has been closed and detoured since July to allow the City of Buffalo, in partnership with MnDOT, to reconstruct the first stages of Highway 25 (South Lake Boulevard) from First Street South to the curve north of Settlers Parkway. Crews updated city utilities, pedestrian sidewalks and approaches, and expanded the community commons area along the lake. Construction work and a detour will continue in 2024 as crews complete the south end of the project.

Motorists may encounter lane or shoulder closures as crews remove traffic control devices.

Benefits of the project include a smoother road surface, updated drainage and improved safety for travelers.
