Hwy 30 reopens after bridge replacements completed at Chatfield, Cummingsville
CHATFIELD, Minn. – The Highway 30 detour west of Chatfield has been removed and it’s open to traffic now that the two bridge replacements are completed, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The work and detour began April 17. The bridge at Mill Creek in Chatfield was replaced, and space under the bridge was prepared for a future multi-use trail. Separated paths on the bridge for biking and walking were also added. Work was done within Mill Creek to guard against future erosion under the bridge footings. The bridge at North Branch Root River, west of Olmsted County Road 7, in Cummingsville was also replaced.
