MnDOT to host Oct. 10 in-person meeting for Hwy 101 improvement project in Eden Prairie and Chanhassen

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will host an Oct. 10 in-person meeting to discuss the 2024 Highway 101 improvement project in Eden Prairie and Chanhassen.

As part of the project, in partnership with the cities of Chanhassen and Eden Prairie, crews will repave two miles of road between County Road 62 in Eden Prairie and Highway 5 in Chanhassen. Workers will also reconstruct the adjacent trail; add pedestrian crossing signals at Valley View Road and Twilight Trail; improve accessibility of ramps and signals; fix shoulders; and repair drainage issues at Purgatory Creek.

The public meeting will be held 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10 in the Chanhassen Library, Wilder Room, 7711 Kerber Blvd. in Chanhassen.

MnDOT and city staff will be available to offer information and answer questions. There will be no formal presentation at this open house-style meeting.

If you can’t attend the in-person meeting, a virtual presentation will be posted on the project webpage following the meeting at mndot.gov/metro/projects/hwy101chanhassen-edenprairie.

The work, scheduled from mid-June through late October 2024, will require a detour for regional traffic; 12 weeks of single-lane traffic between Choctaw Circle and Sandy Hook Road/Lotus View Drive; and one weekend road closure just north of Duck Lake Trail.
