Lane closures on I-94, Highway 10 in Moorhead start next week
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. –Motorists on Interstate 94 and Highway 10 in Moorhead will encounter lane closures in both directions starting Monday, Sept. 18 through Thursday, Sept. 22, as the Minnesota Department of Transportation completes bridge inspections in the Moorhead area.
On Monday, crews will begin working on westbound I-94 at the Red River bridges, and will switch to the eastbound side on Tuesday. On Wednesday, crews will inspect the Veterans Memorial Bridge on Highway 10/Main Avenue. Throughout the week, crews will also perform inspections on the Buffalo River bridges.
These inspections are performed every two years to document any deterioration or changes to the bridge structure. The lane closures will allow crews to use a snooper truck to gain access under the bridge.
