Hwy 62 eastbound closure in Mendota Heights begins Sept. 5
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, motorists traveling eastbound on Highway 62 in Mendota Heights will encounter a 15-day closure and a detour between Highway 13 and Lexington Avenue beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5.
Motorists wishing to travel eastbound on Highway 62 should follow the signed detour using Highway 5, I-494, and I-35E, to bypass the closure. The north and south movements will remain open at the intersections of Highway 13 and Lexington Avenue except when crews are working at the intersection.
Motorists traveling westbound on Highway 62 will use their usual lanes.
Once crews complete the paving on the eastbound lanes, westbound Highway 62 will close for up to 15 days and be detoured. All lanes are expected to reopen in early October 2023.
