Paving on Hwy 15 through Lewisville begins

MANKATO, Minn. – Motorists are advised that paving on Highway 15 from Martin County Road 54 to the south interchange of Highway 15/60 near Madelia began this week, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Motorists can expect lane and ramp closures along with brief delays during construction.
Traffic impacts:

  • Highway 15 from Martin County Road 54 to the south interchange of Highway 15/60 near Madelia will primarily be constructed under traffic with flagging operations.
  • Highway 15 will be temporarily closed in either the southbound or northbound direction from the south Highway 15/60 interchange to 360th Street during different stages of paving. The lane closures are anticipated to begin in late August until early September and will change multiple times during construction. Traffic will be detoured to Watonwan County Roads 10 and 16 during paving on this four-lane section of Highway 15.
  • Ramps at the south interchange of Highway 15/60 remain closed until early September with no access to or from westbound Highway 60. Traffic is detoured to Watonwan County Roads 10 and 16.
  • The eastbound Highway 60 ramp to southbound Highway 15 and the northbound Highway 15 ramp to eastbound Highway 60 will close temporarily in late August until early September.

Motorists are encouraged to check www.511mn.org for updates and current traffic information.
