Ramp from southbound I-35W to westbound I-494 closes July 30

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Beginning at 10:00 p.m. Sunday, July 30, the Minnesota Department of Transportation will close the ramp from southbound I-35W to westbound I-494 ramp at the I-35W/ I-494 interchange in Bloomington. This closure, which will remain in place through November, is necessary so construction crews can begin work to replace the ramp. Work will also include realigning the ramp and adding a new deceleration lane.

Motorists can use westbound Hwy 62 to southbound Hwy 100 to westbound I-494 as a regional detour. Motorists can also use the cloverleaf ramps from southbound I-35W to eastbound I-494 to northbound I-35W to westbound I-494 as a local detour.

Motorists are urged to plan ahead and allow extra time to reach their destination. All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slowdown in work zones where workers are present.
