All ramps, loops reopen this afternoon at Highway 36 and Fairview Avenue in Roseville

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – As the end of work approaches on the new interchange of Highway 36 and Fairview Avenue in Roseville, all the ramps and loops between the highway and Fairview Avenue reopened early this afternoon, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. However, Fairview Avenue traffic is still restricted to a single lane in each direction between County Road B and County Road B-2 through the end of the project in late August. And motorists continue to have right-in, right-out access only along Fairview Avenue in both directions in the same area. Traffic cannot cross Fairview Avenue and there is no access to southbound Fairview Avenue from the eastbound and westbound ramps from Highway 36 to Fairview Avenue.
The newly rebuilt west entrance to Rosedale Mall also reopened about a week ago.
The project is anticipated to be completed by August 24 before the start of the Minnesota State Fair.

Please note that all timeframes are approximate, subject to change, and weather and schedule dependent.

Crews are rebuilding and realigning the ramps and loops at Highway 36 and Fairview Avenue near the mall in Roseville. The project also will include drainage improvements along the new alignment, build new right turn lanes on northbound Fairview Avenue and remove the concrete median and relocate signals to allow for the through movement of northbound Fairview Avenue traffic to the mall's west entrance. Existing sidewalks along the roadway are being rebuilt to meet Americans with Disability Act (ADA) standards.
