27th Avenue West immediate traffic control change

DULUTH, Minn. – Minnesota Department of Transportation crews working to remove and reconstruct the southbound I-35 ramps at 27th Avenue West, have made traffic control changes that are effective immediately. The intersection at 27th Avenue West and I-35 has closed because of unsafe conditions created by traffic coming close to the work zone. Original detour signage has been moved. Motorists needing to get to the northbound side from 27th Avenue West will follow 3rd Street/Grand Avenue to 40th Avenue East and then back to north to 27th Avenue West. The estimated re-opening of 27th Ave West is July 10. Southbound on and off ramps will re-open in mid-July.
