Long-term closure of eastbound Highway 10 ramp to 7th Avenue in Anoka begins Monday, June 19

Roseville, Minn. – Beginning Monday morning, June 19, the ramp from eastbound Highway 10 to 7th Avenue in Anoka will close for construction of a noise wall along the ramp. The ramp is expected to remain closed through this fall, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

During the ramp closure, drivers will continue eastbound on Highway 10 to Round Lake Boulevard and then use the ramps to reach westbound Highway 10 to reach the 7th Avenue ramp.

During this year’s construction closures and detours, motorists are reminded to follow the signed detours, avoid cutting through neighborhoods and allow extra travel time. A list of local detours is available on the project website.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather permitting and subject to change.

MnDOT and the city of Anoka are working together to repair aging roads and bridges and build new interchanges on the highway between Thurston Avenue and 7th Avenue in Anoka. The rebuilt road will improve traffic flow, decrease congestion and increase safety along and across Highway 10.

Construction is expected to be complete by the spring of 2024.
