Overnight lane closures on Highway 36 in Washington County June 18-27

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, motorists will encounter overnight lane closures in both directions of Highway 36 between Interstate 35E in Little Canada and Stillwater Boulevard in Stillwater as crews install permanent pavement markings. Crews will be doing this work on the highway a couple sections at a time.

Eastbound Highway 36 will be reduced to a single lane nightly from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day, between Edgerton Street and White Bear Avenue on Sunday, June 18; Monday, June 19; Wednesday, June 21; Thursday, June 22 and Friday, June 23.

From 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly those same dates, eastbound Highway 36 will be reduced to a single lane between Century Avenue and I-694.

Westbound Highway 36 will also be reduced to a single lane between I-694 and Edgerton Street from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night beginning Monday, June 19 through Friday, June 23 and on Sunday, June 25.

Finally, there will be intermittent left lane closures in both directions of Highway 36 between I-35E and Stillwater Boulevard from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly beginning Sunday, June 25 through Tuesday, June 27.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change.

MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution and slow down in work zones where workers are present.
