ArcGIS Cartographer Seeds Student Worker

Description:
Help create and update maps using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools like ArcGIS Pro. In this role, you will move older maps into modern digital and web-based formats to help MnDOT plan, build, and maintain roads across the state. You will also help with short-term mapping projects, like creating special maps for transportation projects or visualizations, updating statewide bicycle information, helping redesign the State Highway Map, and finding creative ways to make MnDOT’s maps easier to use and more visible.

Primary tasks:

  • Assist in creating and updating statewide maps and online mapping tools
  • Update bike route maps and data to support bike and pedestrian planning
